When asked why she joined and what motivates MWCC to stay with AUSA Ms. Thompson said:
We are motivated by the opportunity to offer leadership in helping the individual soldier, and their families, who are protecting our freedom. Their sheer courage is amazing. Hearing how we have touched a heart while they are dealing with deployment or recovery of an injury is inspirational. Getting to know some of the men and women who serve has been heartwarming.
