Thrivent Financial Family Day at the Zoo, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2008
Military families are invited to be the guests of honor at the second annual Thrivent Financial Family Day at the Zoo, 4:30 – 8:30 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2008, at the Minnesota Zoo, 13000 Zoo Blvd., Apple Valley, Minn.
The event is free of charge for families of military personnel and just $5 for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members. Admission for children under five years of age is also free.
Thrivent Financial Family Day offers after-hours exclusive use of the zoo’s new Russia’s Grizzly Coast exhibit, the Tropics and Northern trails, Discovery Bay, the Outdoor Bird Show, the Family Farm and more. The event also features live music, free unlimited beverages until 6:30 p.m. at the Thrivent tent, free monorail rides and more.
To qualify for the discounted or free admission, Thrivent Financial
members must show their postcard invitation at the gate, and current military families must show appropriate documentation (ID Card). Thrivent members who did not receive the postcard should call their Thrivent Financial representative.
During the event, zoo visitors will also have the opportunity to write and send postcards to deployed military personnel in a “Postcards from Home” project.
